Crank Crawl is a light-weight strategy game with relatively "casual" puzzle-like mechanics to fit the Playdate handheld’s restrictions, such as its monochrome display, small resolution (400x240) and minimalist controls.

At the same time, the reel-based variant of match-3 gameplay (where each reel can be "cranked" on its own) offers more plannability than usual genre entries to provide a long-term score-chasing challenge.
