Crimson Company
Competitive Card Game
Crimson Company is a 1v1 card game with three lanes, dozens of unique card effects, and almost no randomness. Due to its highly tactical nature, it feels closer to chess than to poker. At the same time, it retains the accessibility of modern card games. Gameplay revolves around bidding for characters from a shared deck in a unique "board-drafting" mechanism, where cards are never held in hand but always put into play as soon as the bidding phase ends.
I envisioned and co-designed the game. Additionally, I was involved in art direction, production and publishing, as well as managing the Kickstarter campaigns for the deluxe edition and 3 expansions, all of which were successful.
There is also a digital adaptation for mobile devices.
